Is LIFTED going to release everywhere at once?

Originally this was our plan but because this is our first game we decided to release on pc first and then consoles shortly there after. It's really going to be a blast on the Steam Deck and Switch 2, so we're taking extra care to ensure it runs well.

Most players reach the credits in 3 to 5 hours, a bit longer than an adventure movie. If you go after every collectible and outfit, you could spend over 8 hours.

Why is the game called LIFTED?

Fundamentally, the game is about traveling back in time in an elevator lift and lifting a priceless artifact from history. We also wanted the overall tone of the game to be uplifting.

Where can we play LIFTED?

LIFTED is out now on PC and macOS, and it plays great on Steam Deck. Switch 2 and PS5 are on the way.

What kind of game is LIFTED?

LIFTED is a cinematic adventure platformer that feels like playing a movie, with memorable characters and great acting performances from Joe Gaudet and Ray O'Hare. It's a one of a kind experience from start to finish. LIFTED is intentionally not a hardcore game. It's built to carry you, like a good ride.

Is LIFTED a single-player game?

Yes, LIFTED is a purely single-player, story-driven experience. We really wanted to focus on crafting a tightly paced, cinematic adventure from start to finish without any distractions. It was largely inspired by early single player playstation games.

Time-Traveling for Love. What Could Go Wrong?

In LIFTED you play as Ari Buktu, a slacker swept up in his physics professor's manic, love-fueled scheme to steal a priceless artifact from ancient history.

Professor Raventhorpe's Anytime Elevator hurtles you through both time and space. The floor numbers map to history: hit the button for 1712, align the map to the Caribbean, and you land right in the middle of pirate-infested Tortuga. The Elevator gets the time right. Where you end up... Prof. R is still working out the kinks.

Wholesome platforming, high-stakes discovery, and a professor with the vision but not the legs. That's your job.

This is the easiest question. It's simply the game Jeff Ashbrook NEEDED to make. It's highly cinematic and packed with emotions and great characters. We want to mix blockbuster cinema into an indie game. The gameplay is accessible to all types of players, but with enough problem-solving to keep it interesting. The experience of playing LIFTED from start to finish is meant to be familiar, but sit with you in its own charming way.

Well, we think it's for everyone. Younger players will love the accessible gameplay and unpredictable journey, while older players will remember what it was like to be a kid again. LIFTED is the glass of fresh water you've been wanting, and we hope it inspires younger players to dream of their own adventures someday. And if you mostly play long, hardcore games, LIFTED is not trying to replace them. It's the breather you take between them.
